Nia Long, MFT
psychotherapist
i am an atlanta native. i earned a bachelors degree in sociology with a minor in women’s gender and sexuality studies from georgia state university. I went on to earn my masters in marriage and family therapy from valdosta state university. I have clinical experience working with students, couples, people struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, and people with developmental delays.
although I have worked with a wide range of clients, i am most passionate about working with couples struggling with infidelity, or families in the process of separation or divorce.
I am systematically trained with a lean toward narrative, emotionally focused and cognitive behavioral models of therapy.
my goal is to create a collaborative and empathetic atmosphere that allows clients to feel truly seen and empowered to develop the skills to work towards their desired betterment and healing
