monica jerideau, counseling intern

clinical psychology intern

hi, i’m monica and i’m here to help you navigate the twists and turns of mental health with clarity, compassion, and a bit of grounded optimism. originally from fort washington, maryland, i moved to georgia to follow my passion for helping others heal—especially children, adolescents, and adults working through trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use.

i hold a bachelor's degree in social work from clark atlanta university and am currently earning my master’s in clinical psychology from capella university. my hands-on experience includes working with dfcs, collaborating with school counselors, and supporting clients at a nonprofit addiction treatment center for over two years.

as a proud advocate for the lgbtqia+ community and a believer in whole-person healing, i tailor therapy to meet you where you are. whether you're facing long-standing struggles or just need space to sort through life’s challenges, i’m here to support you—with honesty, warmth, and a commitment to creating a space where you feel truly seen. mental wellness isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey, and i’m honored to walk beside you as you write your own path forward.

let’s get started—healing doesn’t have to be heavy every step of the way.
