Danielle Mohie, BA, MFT intern

master of family therapy intern

growing up in a family marked by deep-seated intergenerational trauma, danielle developed a strong interest in helping couples who struggle to communicate and express themselves due to past hurts. she has noticed how this kind of trauma affects people's close relationships, especially the ones where they should feel most comfortable.

danielle firmly believes that in any relationship, both partners should be able to speak up and feel safe sharing their thoughts and feelings. she's also a big advocate for something called "inner-child work." This means digging into the past and understanding how old hurts from childhood can still mess with our emotions today.

as the child of Nigerian immigrants, danielle possesses a deep understanding and familiarity with the occasionally tumultuous dynamics of U.S. immigration. Furthermore, she warmly embraces couples who bring cross-cultural influences and diverse backgrounds into her practice.

danielle is particularly interested in helping out young couples who are just starting to figure out relationships, as well as teens and young adults dealing with the ups and downs of growing up. whether it is couples who are dating, getting ready to tie the knot, or navigating the early years of marriage, she is ready to lend a hand in making their relationships healthier and happier.
