Tiana Teague, MFT
As a clinician, Tiana highlights the importance of the relationship between the client and therapist. She believes through a safe and secure attachment, change can occur within the therapy room. Tiana focuses on how past events are affecting clients in the present and moving them towards a more fulfilling life. Tiana’s style of therapy consists of being direct and honest. She believes in challenging her client’s beliefs, values, expectations, and roles that may contributing to their presenting problem and hindering them from reaching their full potential.
She received a Master of Family Therapy degree from Mercer University School of Medicine and is under the clinical supervision of Crystal Gillery, LMFT and Dawn Swiney MPA, LMFT as she pursues full licensure.
Tiana enjoys working with individuals, couples and families experiencing serious illness such as bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, major depressive disorder as well as those with developmental delays. However, services are not limited to those specific concerns. She believes we should accept and value people despite their differences instead of putting them against who they should be based on our societal influences.
